Recognition

Sekolah High/Scope Indonesia have been honored as a member of The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an organization that is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

The Western region covers institutions in California and Hawaii, the territories of Guam, American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, the Pacific Basin, and East Asia, and areas of the Pacific and East Asia where American/International schools or colleges may apply to it for service.

High School Curriculum

The high school program started in July 2007 using a credit system that implements the Indonesian curriculum presently Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (Education Unit Curriculum) and incorporates that with the High/Scope curriculum (which supports dynamic and interactive educational practices).

High/Scope Indonesia aims to focus on the process of learning and not only the output where students just follow, memorize and pass exams. We treat students as human beings who are able to think, comprehend, understand, manage, and lead in these challenging times of the twenty first century.

The High/Scope High School program offers programs that can accommodate both the Indonesian diploma – for those who want to continue their education in state or private universities in Indonesia – and the High/Scope high school diploma for those who want to study abroad. English and Indonesian are the languages of instruction in High/Scope High School. This program affirms our belief that children learn in real life situations; our internship program offers students opportunities to experience real life situations with the full support of their teachers and counselors with whom they meet and discuss their experiences each day during the advisory. High/Scope High School opens the way for students to experience college while they continue their high school studies, in addition to Advanced Placement (AP), a program of credit for college-level studies pursued while still in high school. The AP provides students with a program of studies providing access to advanced placement and credit at universities, especially in North America. High/Scope’s thoroughly researched credit and grading system ensures that all students have equal choices and opportunities to succeed.
